Residences at Willow Park is a mixed-subsidy (Project-Based Section 8 (PBRA) and Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC)) 68 unit community consisting of 2 and 3 bedroom units, most in a multi-story "townhome" style.  Through Project-Based Section 8 Rental Assistance, HUD assists more than 1.2 million extremely low-, low- and very low-income families in obtaining decent, safe, and sanitary housing. The project-based rental assistance makes up the difference between what the household can afford and the approved rent for an adequate housing unit in a multifamily project. Eligible tenants must pay the highest of 30 percent of adjusted income, 10 percent of gross income, or the portion of welfare assistance designated for housing or the minimum rent established by HUD.  Because of the great need for subsidized housing, these properties often have long waiting lists.
